Angry Cam explores the ambivalent effect of surveillance cameras. On one hand, they convey a sense of security — standing for control, order, and protection. On the other hand, they embody constant observation and can evoke feelings of intimidation.
Angry Cam highlights this contradiction by deliberately exaggerating the aspect of intimidation. The camera features a deliberately aggressive design: its lens is set within a sharp-edged, triangular shell made of black metal, combined with a silver body. Sharp spikes on the surface not only deter pigeons but also intensify its menacing appearance.
In this way, the camera becomes a visible symbol of authoritarian presence. Its message is unmistakable: “I see you — so follow the rules.” With this provocative visual language, Angry Cam invites critical reflection on surveillance and control in public space — a design statement about power, visibility, and intimidation.
